This piece of work is based around my own personal experiences with mental health. More specifically focusing on links between depressive episodes that interfere with memory and state of mind. My practise predominantly revolves around Photography, however I wanted to use drawing for this submission and theme as I felt it would work well with the context of my concept. A theme throughout my work during these digital submissions will be based upon my struggles with body dysmorphia and anxieties around that issue. For the specific theme of ‘MEMORY’ I wanted to sketch a depiction of myself from my own memory of my at the end of a busy day. Using a technique called, continuous-line drawing I created a form of my own personal ideals and perception of self-expression. The drawing itself presents a memory of myself; from myself, breaking tensions between the anxieties and mentality of personal body image.
