PD Packard

NYC

PD Packard is a multi-media artist living in Brooklyn, New York. Awarded a scholarship to Central St Martins, in London, England she obtained a BFA degree in Fashion and Textile Design. When she returned to the states, she developed packaging, graphics, and original textiles and surface designs primarily for the cosmetic industry. PD Packard made a natural transition into fine art in 2009. Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States and internationally. In March 2019 she completed a Fellowship Residency at Scuola Internazionale di Grafica Venezia, Italy that was sponsored in part by The Boston Printmakers and Speedball Art Products.

PD Packard's work is committed to bringing attention to the power that Nature has to influence our perception of art and design. The collection of prints she submitted for the Wilding Art Call uses color + pattern + nature along with alternative photographic methods: analog & digital.

To expand the idea further she uses her original artwork, video, music and photography to create what feels like a living collage of animated vignettes about unconditional love, not conditional romance. To bring the artworks to life she interlaces and overlays live action video with flat animation mediums in combination with music that flow from one scene to the next.

You can find her most recent short film, equal the difference: Universal LOVE, here: https://vimeo.com/401703432
