I am an artist living and working in the low desert of Arizona. My work is a reflection of the relationship that I have with the natural world. I am not able to walk, hike or “be in nature”. My experience is derived from book and calendar images, or the collections of bits and pieces that I find at my feet. Each painting is a landscape of objects that I find in the forgotten corners of my environment. Each insignificant leaf, seed, or insect is a clue to the unseen drama that presents itself under a porch light, spiderwebs in the corner of a window or in the cracks of a sidewalk. My experience is an intimate, investigative process.
